I posted my prediction earlier that we will have a bottom 5 record in the league in like December and then surge in the second half. I honestly think if we could even tread water in the first couple months, we might actually be a surprise playoff team.

Bold predictions: Although he probably isn't ideally a long term solution there, Lias grabs the 2C by the end of the season and becomes a Brad Marchand type center combining some offense ability with a lot of snarl and grit. It's not Fox, but a 2nd half callup for Rykov that provides hope for a true offensive defensment. The team manages to trade Smith to a desperate team retaining 50% of salary.

Wouldn't be surprised to make the Wild Card, but won't be disappointed if we don't. Also on board with Lias taking over the 3C spot and being a beast this season after disappointing last year.

I think I've made my predictions a couple of times, so I won't bother.
But, one thing that I've realized I was not thinking about that Jan touched one here: with all the flux in the line up, the youth we are unsure how to rate and everything else going on... the one thing that will likely influence our place in the standings the most this season is how Hank plays. I get that this is pretty obvious, but it seems to be kind of overlooked (at least by me) amidst all the other exciting elements.

May not be planning to go to a parade in the canyon of heroes this season but hopefully in the next couple.

Really thought the Phillies would have done more and you can't even pin it on Harper his stats were par for the course.

honestly its mostly on the GM, he did nothing to address the pitching. I thought Harper was fine. I would clean house if I was the owner

I think everyone sees Hank as the constant. That may not be the case anymore but I think we are looking at a bounce back year for him. If not this might be a rough season. Really looking forward to the game tonight but kind of dreading it at the same time.

I think it's a good opening opponent, Jets have some issues on the blue line, Laine and Connor arrived late, Trouba motivated

The thing I worry most about Hank is that he was most effective getting into a groove with a heavy workload. Everyone knows that he can't play 60-70 games anymore. I think he still has the ability to be effective, but I wonder if he can because he might not be able to get into a rhythm.

Josh Ho-Sang wasn’t here with Bridgeport for his 1st practice after #Isles sent him down. Coach Brent Thompson: “As far as I know right now, it’s a couple of days just to collect himself and go from there.” I asked if he does expect Ho-Sang to report: “I really don’t know.” #NHL

I think they'll trade him

I think he wasn't claimed because whoever claimed him would have to keep him on roster, now that he passed through waivers he can be acquired and put on his new team's AHL squad, he needs new organization badly
